Well we are all having an awesome time here. As Kenny said we got the "meditation room" and thes stand. The stand is awesome because4 you get to talk to so many people- everyone hereis very open and it and they are just wonderful- it is great to talk to people. We are having these awesome chats- people from Israel, England,... good fun. One of the best things is that they come to talk to us!! The prayer room is a blast- it was being used as a nap room but we went in and put in some stones and prayed over them and shocked everyone- it was really fun and there is so much joy there. God has really giving me tons of exciotement and this is so much fun. Please pray that we all be excited, go for it and that God keep givinmg us these awesome chances and opportunbites and that we seize them. I really want to go out to the beach at night and get to know some people- already got an offer at the prayer room for free sangria anytime I wanted! Please pray for direction/protection for the whole team- and for us having fun going for God here! I know I have used awesome a lot here but- God is AWEsome and he is awe-inspiring and this is awesome! Soon I´ll try to keep you all updated on what is happening- encouraging stories of what He has done here and over the last 3 weeks- and he has done loads!!! 2 people have given their lives to him- a father from Chile whose daughter has been praying for this and a "squatter" whome Itiel met at the metro. God is really rocking Bcn! Our team has been a bit discouraged these last few days, probably just from lack of planned activities, we're just trying to adapt and be ourselves. Believe it or not, that's pretty hard.
However...during all this, our new friend from Mexico, Diego, a good ol' 24-7 staffer there, wasn't satisfied with having tried 3 times for a prayer room. Anaka, our brasilian girl and himself teamed up to be as annoying as possible to the staff of the camp to try to get to the top cheeses and demand a space to pray. They've almost done it!
Today we got a stand given to us, I'm now home getting stuff together to set up this stand and at least get people to be informed on what this strange 24-7 thing is that everyone (literally) is asking about. About 3 hours ago, while I was discussing finances with Diego as well, he mistaked this one staff person for someone else...we ended up sitting with her and explaining what 24-7 was and how we wanted to help with their great "meditation" room. Apparently she's pretty high up in all this stuff and told us to just start "squating" in the room until we got permission from the big boss. (What she didn't know is that we'd been doing that since 10 in the morning).
Pray that this prayer room thing would come through and we'd be able to give the more than 20,000 people passing through the Forum everyday a chance to meet with God and find His presence.

we're in!!!!

greetings from the forum - finally we're in here "being church" /the body of christ amongst thousands of young people from all over the world.
so far we actually didn't get the permission to open a prayer room but.... there's going to be a meditation room and we may be allowed to decorate it!
pray that god will open these doors!!!!!! wouldn't it be cool if peoiple went in there to meditate and met the holy spirit instead of finding themselves????

Hi to all!

Well we have had a rather interesting week- lots of different activities. We have been having creative prayer meetings with a different mission group here at the lokal (the church we are with here)- they have loved it and so have we. We had Vics from Ibiza (!!!!) here with us- which was awesome. We went clubbing with her while she was here- had a great time worshiping and praying there. God showed some a lot of stuff and we just rayed into it. A new experience for some of us but I´m definitly going back. 2 days later one f the girls that hadn´t gone, while we were praying for Barcelona and asking God to show us stuff, saw a deformed ying-yang symbol with the black dot out- and that is the symbol of the club we went to which is called Zen. We have gone worship/praise/prayer walking down the ramblas (Had a couple crazy guys from the UK with us that came along as well as the 24-7 spanish general the lovely and amazing Jas). Another day 3 different groups went to the University here and prayed from bench to bench, then another group went to the Arc of Triumph and another to the posh part of town and prayed on the stock market buildings and on banks (from what I hear freaked out a couple of bankers). We were at the fountains last night talking to people and today the team has something else planned out. As of Tuesday we have also had a crazy youth pastor from Wales- Steve, loads of fun! Also different concerts and such planned for the weekend in the park by us- Rescate (Argentina), and others. Tonight a group are going to try to get into to a rather posh club- pray they get in.
Please pray that we be open to God and not to rush in but wait to hear exactly what he says; more understanding between al of us and also wisdom for the leaders. And for the team to be able to give with a heart like Jesus´. And that we focus on Him and the wonderful amazing stuff He is doing and not on the negative. Thanks guys- Adieu.

Thus far...

So we did the training, enjoyed some really great prayer and ministry times, heard some incredible speakers challenge us to get closer to God and “just go” and reach out to this country.
We’re in Barcelona now, staying in the casteller center (the guys who build human towers) along with another two mission teams from Wales and the US. We’ve set up a prayer room and have been helping with concerts and a terrace-café here…but this kind of report is boring...let's here a story.
So far the number one experience to remember for me when this drunk, demonicaly possessed man prophesyed over me. Yeah, that’s right, a drunk, possessed man…
I had helped this guy find a better twirling location than in the midst of the featured dance troupe when he started squealing and violently falling away from me with quite an impressive force. Reeking of wine and with eyes full of terror and fire, I figured something wasn’t perfectly right with this guy from the first moment. He was brasilian, so with my brasilian pastor friend and my broken knowledge of portugese, we managed to sit him down and chat with us for a while. After the pastor gently spoke to him about Jesus, Ivan (our "tipsy" friend) decided it was his turn to speak, being a “messenger from God” as he was. As he rambled along about how God had placed him in this world to tell people what to do and to dance throughout the World (or something of the sort), I really felt God was urging me to say something. I finally mustered up the courage to ask him if I could speak now, since the two older men had already expressed their views. Screaming at me to uncross my legs and look at him in the eyes, he reluctantly gave me permission to speak. Although for some strange reason I wasn’t scared, it wasn’t exactly a huge confidence that was pushing me on to say what I felt God wanted to say through me. I looked into his eyes, and very slowly told him that he was a messenger from God. God had placed him here, at this moment, to speak for Him, and that the Lord had a great purpose and calling for him. However, I began, you also have a great force of evil living within you, a force that is desperately trying to suffocate God in you, and the only way for you to live in peace is to cry out for God’s mercy and ask Him, in Jesus’ name, to release you from the evil power in you (by the way, I rarely speak like this).
When I finished this thought, he looked me back in the eye, and answered along the line that I was an anointed man of God, and that my purpose was much beyond what I could imagine. He exhorted me to keep to the ways of the Lord, because I was going to be used mightily,…and so forth. By the time he ended I had tears in my eye, realising this man had spoken words of truth and wisdom over me.
He than asked to pray and he loudly renounced the spirits in him and pleaded with Jesus to release him. After we opened our eyes he said his mind was much clearer and that he was committed to start changing back to the path God had set forth for him. He didn’t kneel down or weep, or even stop rolling around and dance around the park. But there was a very obvious change in his eyes, his way of speaking and listening and he did stop squealing and violently throwing himself backwards every time I looked at him in the eye.
I’m not exactly sure what this means, but I am sure God spoke to me that night. Through this experience and others God seems to be really speaking to us about how He is in many more places than we think. He’s showing us that there is a bit of Him in everyone, and if we can only discern that through His spirit and point people where to get more of it, He will go beyond our wildest dreams and expectations bringing this nation towards Him. We’re trusting for more of this while we keep pushing forward in this crazy adventure.

There´s many time since I haven´t try to make new friends, perhaps this is goin' to be a chance. Maybe I was too lazy but it's over, God has really done some incredible stuff this week. For one He has provided tons of materials for the prayer room (we had nothing). Also this girl called us from Tarragona saying she (and other guys from her church) would love to help out and she is willing to drive me around to get more material if needed (the camp is in the boonies). Also I went to the closing ceremony at the Parliment of the World´s religions and I later got to talk to the only christian that spoke there- sat next to him on the metro! It was really cool- he had never heard of 24-7 so I got to tell him all about it and what we were going to be doing and our vision- really neat and he was great. It really was a divine appointment- at the Forum I felt I needed to talk to someone and tell that Jesus was the only way (everyone there basically says your truth is your truth and mine is mine and that works- rather sickening) and nobody popped up but then God opened up this door. He rocks! A bunch of people have already arrived from other teams around the world with King's Kids and Lisa and I are sort of going crazy getting ready to receive all our 24-7 team. Today we helped take down a 24-7 room that another church had up and going here in Barcelona. They had a great set up! With a beach and all! (Okay, sand and blue transparent paper, but it was pretty cool).
The other day we set up what we've been calling "Underground Worship" a kind of acoustic worship session where no one is leading or anything, just pumping out music and letting God take over. More than 40 people showed up (in the 24-7 room!) and we had an incredible time of resting in God's presence and crying out to Him for our city this summer. We actually ended the evening doing that Masai warrior jump thing (I was tired and couldn't think of anything else) and a loud battle cry. It was brilliant! (as well as just worsening my reputation as "one of those 24-7 wierdoes"...oh well!)
I'm still in the office, though, getting all anxious to go to the streets where the action is. Keep praying for ideas to come up with Clubbers Club, more open doors, new opportunities at different places. God is leading the way, but it's still pretty blurry as far as where he's leading us to.

Because of complications and confusions from all you English speaking people who couldn't figure out why mission was spelled "misión" in Spanish and other tiny details, we have decided to divide our "number 1 read" blog into a Spanish one and an English one. The basic updates and info will be put into each one individually, but certain reports will be written either only in Spanish or only in English, and the best ones will be translated into the other language (or so we desire).
Anyway, from now on this web page will be only in English (it will be located at http://barcelonamission.blogspot.com if it isn't already) and our Spanish blog will be located at http://misiones24-7.blogspot.com , feel free to visit it.
We're less than two weeks away from the beginning of our mission and everything is getting really exciting, as well as a little scary. I sat down with the Clubbers Club guys the other day and asked them to make a list of clubs and enviroments they're praying over so we can start hanging out there and making friends. Please pray about our plans to set up a beach/dj party where we'll try to give out fruit and stuff (thanks Ibiza) or a deck worship night or something. Plans are soming together and doors are "magically" opening (or should we say "divinely").
I'm off to pick up a camping tent for our training and Youth Festival today, which, while you're at this praying business, why don't you ask God to give us another 3-4 tents for about 20 people, it's pretty important (yeah, the wheather's great in Spain, but not THAT great).
I'll be back!
