The Importance of families

his past week was great! No much happened during the week. We talked
to a bunch of people like normal. We had the opportunity to do some
service Saturday morning. My companion and I help a member repaint
their home and what not. It was super fun, they fed us a dish called
paella de Colombia. It was super good. The. Later on that evening we
had an activity for the branch. I had the wonderful opportunity to
cook chili for the branch. They all wanted to try Texas chili but with
out spice because they don't like spice here. Anyways they really
enjoyed it and it was a fun act finite because the branch really
needed it. Anyways that pretty much sums up my week!

May the lord bless each and everyone of you guys!

Personal study this past week-

The family proclamation teaches us that..

The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is
essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within
the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who
honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is
most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord
Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and
maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness,
respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational
activities. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their
families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the
necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are
primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these
sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one
another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances
may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend
support when needed.

So we know that The family is sacred in The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and is the most important social unit in time and
eternity. God has established families to bring happiness to His
children, allow them to learn correct principles in a loving
atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life.

The home is the best place to teach, learn, and apply gospel
principles. It is where individuals learn to provide the food,
clothing, shelter, and other necessities they need. The father and
mother, as equal partners, should help each family member:

•Seek the truth and develop faith in God.

•Repent of sins, be baptized for the remission of sins, become a
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and receive
the Holy Ghost.

•Obey the commandments of God, study the scriptures diligently, offer
personal prayers daily, and serve others.

•Share the gospel with others.

•Be endowed and be married in the temple to a worthy companion for
eternity, create a happy home for the family, and support the family
by love and sacrifice.

Because our Heavenly Father loves us, He wants us to become exalted as
He is. To help us, He has given us a plan to follow based on divine
laws of truth. Those who learn about the plan and follow it faithfully
can someday become like our Father in Heaven and enjoy the kind of
life He lives.

Part of the plan was for us to leave heaven and come to earth. Here we
gain a physical body, learn through experiences, and prove ourselves
worthy to live again in the presence of God. We prove ourselves worthy
by freely choosing to keep His laws. (Abraham 3:23–25; 2 Nephi 2:27.)

To help us prepare ourselves for life with Him, our Heavenly Father
has organized us into families. Through sacred ordinances and
covenants, our families can be united eternally.

The restored gospel blesses and helps husbands and wives, parents and
children as they strive to develop stronger relationships and
spiritual strength in their families. These blessings are available
now and in eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides help with
current concerns and challenges.

Because families are ordained of God, they are the most important
social unit in time and in eternity. God has established families to
bring happiness to His children, allow them to learn correct
principles in a loving atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life.
The home is the best place to teach, learn, and apply principles of
the gospel of Jesus Christ. A home established on gospel principles
will be a place of refuge and safety. It will be a place where the
Spirit of the Lord can abide, blessing family members with peace, joy,
and happiness

The lord lives! We are all his children and I know that families are
so important! It's they only way we are going to find true happiness
is within the walls of our own homes and families. God has ordained
families and our prophets have stressed the importance of families.
Satan is attacking families and I see the outcome everyday.. It's
terrible.. I tell y'all.. Follow the teachings of our leaders! They
are inspired of lord. I love y'all so much! Have a great week!
